Contact us to make a provisional booking at 1331. This is usually done once you've viewed the premises.
You then need to contact York Registry office to confirm their availability. They will give you all the information required regarding fulfilling the legal requirements of the process.
Once you have confirmed your ceremony date and time with the registry office, you can confirm the venue booking at 1331. We require a £200 deposit. This is non refundable if you cancel but otherwise refunded on the day.
Once the date has been confirmed, we can start planning the finer details such as menu sampling, seating arrangements, decorations and music.
When we have finalised the details for the day and know the final costs involved, we can discuss payment. The balance is due by the day before the wedding although we can happily take instalments in advance.

BEFORE THE BIG DAY....
Finalise details with the registrar's office.
Decide menu options.
Send invitations.
Provide us with your guests' pre order (if required).
Contact us with details of the wedding car so we can arrange special access to the city centre with the council. We need 2 weeks notice.
THE DAY BEFORE THE BIG DAY....
Drop off:
Name place cards and seating plan.
Decorations and any favours for the tables.- we set up the tables, clothed and laid up with candles. If you want any extra table decorations, we can put them out for you. We have helium here for balloons.
Flowers.
Cake/cupcakes/cake of cheese...
Test your music for the ceremony - usually an ipod, mp3 or any electrical device with a line in.
YOUR WEDDING AT 1331
We ask for any items for the wedding to be dropped off by the day before your wedding. This way we have time to set up thoroughly and you don't have to worry about anything on the day.
When you arrive, the lounge area will be ready for your wedding breakfast.
Guests are welcome to have a drink at the bar before the ceremony. They need to be seated 20 minutes before the ceremony so make sure you invite them to arrive with plenty of time. Grape Lane is pedestrianised between 10.30am and 5pm. Disabled guests can get access during these hours. Any other guests will have to be dropped off by the Minster - we are a 3 minute walk from there.
The ceremony lasts around 20 minutes.
Canapes & reception drinks can be served straight after in our secret garden or lounge depending on the weather.
If you decide to have a full wedding breakfast, we advise you allocate two hours for the 3 course meal.
Once the meal has finished, we ask guests to move into the bar area while we open up the lounge and re arrange the furniture to make it suitable for an evening reception.
We are licensed for live music so if you have a DJ, band or acoustic act you would like to perform, they can do so after the meal. Alternatively you can just plug your ipod into our system and dance the night away.
The lounge floor can accommodate up to 120 guests for your evening reception. We serve the evening buffet in the Tiffany room with a few tables for those seeking a rest from the dancing! The Tiffany room is closed by 11pm.
WEDDING & NAMING CEREMONIES AT 1331
The Tiffany Room is available for ceremony only hire. Apart from weddings, we can also hire out the room for naming ceremonies.
There is a one off hire fee of £1,000 which covers exclusivity of this room for your wedding ceremony and drinks reception (if required - drinks are an extra charge).
Room hire is negotiable based on the specific day.
We appreciate that no two weddings will be the same, we offer a variety of packages to incorporate all of the essential elements of the day. These are completely flexible.
WEDDING RECEPTION AT 1331
Our first floor lounge is available to hire for your wedding reception whether you wish to arrange a formal sit down meal or an informal gathering with drinks and nibbles.
The Tiffany Room can also be hired as a separate area for serving food. It is ideal as a quieter space for guests to use while they are eating. The use of this room is free (if there is a minimum spend of £2,000 on food and drink) otherwise there is an extra charge of £400. We are happy to discuss your particular requirements.
We can provide various drinks deals and all of our food menus (set menus for a formal meal or buffets and platters) are available to view online under the main section 'venue'.
Our first floor lounge can be split into two sections. With a minimum of 40 guests, we can offer exclusive use of our back lounge. This space can accommodate up to 60 people.
With a minimum of 80 guests, we can offer initial exclusivity of our first floor lounge. This floor can accommodate up to 120 people.
There is no room hire charge for drinks parties. We ask for a £50 deposit to confirm (non refundable if you cancel).
Our back lounge area can seat up to 50 for a wedding breakfast.
